    Intel HD Graphics confusion

My laptop (system information) is telling me that I have Intel(R) HD Graphics Family, but my graphics and media control panel is telling me I have Intel HD Graphics 3000, are they both the same or is one of them wrong?

I do believe they are the same.

I have Intel HD Graphics 2000.

But, if I look in Device Manager, I see HD Graphics Family.

Also, when I look on intel driver update utility (Intel® Driver Update Utility) it tells me I have a customized computer manufacturer driver installed on my laptop

    I'd assume you do.

From the manufacturer of your laptop--HP, Lenovo, whoever it is.

The Family refers to the lineup of cards, the 2000, 3000, and I believe now, 4000.
