Strange Graphical Glitch Causing a Light Trail

    Hi all.

I have an unusual glitch which causes everything light on a dark background to trail off to the right of itself. It randomly started while I was playing 'Football Manager' and now I can't seem to get rid of it. I've tried all of the usual stuff; (rebooting, rolling back and re-patching video drivers, doing a system restore) and nothing seems to be working.

See the image below for an example. I don't think it is ghosting because the trail doesn't follow the movements of the mouse or anything like that, it simply remains to the right of everything.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ben.

Is this a CRT monitor or LCD?

You might try reseating the data cable between the PC and the monitor (both ends) or substituting a different cable if you can.

It looks like a reflection of an analog signal (VGA) to me, but I could be wrong.
