nvidia geforce gt425m version 301.42 crashes

I just updated my NVIDIA GEForce 425M yesterday, and even after a restart it will crash occasionally.

That is, the screen will black out for about 2 or 3 seconds and will go back on again. I then receive a dialogue box on my taskbar saying the driver failed and was fixed. This computer is fairly new (mid-2011) so I am worried as this is the first problem I have come across with it.

Need any more info on my computer, I'll be willing to provide it

I have included a screenshot of the exact dialogue box which appears.

EDIT (25 May): It's now happening quiet often. I have also checked if NVIDIA released another minor update to fix the issue but they haven't)

Thanks for the reply! I was worried no one was going to attend to my problem

Here is my Add/Remove programs list. It looks very similar to yours.

The NVIDIA Dispay Control Panel came with my computer, as did all the NVIDIA software.

This is the one I downloaded, and it's on my desktop

Ok, I did a clean install (It gave me the option of one.

I was worried as it restarted my computer and the resolution was zoomed it, but after another forced restart it is back to normal.

I will let you know if my screen continues to black out again.

EDIT: Just started watching a YouTube video, and the screen blacked out again! I guess this will never work...

    Lets Try some more options
    -Is The video card overheating?
    -Is The Video card Overclocked?
-To Check Temperatures i Recommend HWMonitor it can Monitor PWM Fan Speeds And All Temperatures if Video card is Overheating use Nvidia System Tools to Bring The Temp Down And if your not sure if your video card is overclocked post the picture of the Nvidia tools Keep in mind These Pictures is a Different Video card so do not put my Clock Speeds for Your Card

HWmonitor - CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting (if Download Doesn't Start Just Press "Download Now")

    Nvidia System Tools - http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia-...08-driver.html

Forgive me, but I have no idea what these temperatures mean, so I'll post a screenshot of all the things you did

I haven't changed any settings, so these are the exact settings and temperature stats as when I opened the program(s).

    Hopefully it isn't overheating...
