kvm switch and screen resolution of main monitor

My 24" desktop monitor (XP-Pro) has a screen res of 1920X1200.
My laptop (Win-7 Home) = 1600X900

When I use my KVM switch to run the laptop on the 24" monitor it runs at 1600X900. I want to run the laptop over the KVM using the 24" 1920X1200.

When I access the screen res properties, naturally I'm looking at the laptop settings since I'm on the KVM. How do I set the laptop to the 1920X1200 res when running over the KVM on the 24"?

The answer is:

1. Using the KVM, switch to the laptop
2. Right-click & select screen resolution and set to "extend display"
3. Select "Show desktop only on 2"

And I thank you!

Create batch file that will switch to a particular screen resolution?
So, hey Brink, I guess there's no way to create a batch file which will switch to a particular resolution? I find myself switching back and forth from 720p to 1080p frequently. Separate 1080.bat and 720.bat command files would be peachy for me. Or I should quit kvetching, and be a mench about...
