problem with dedicated memory in windows 7

    HI EVERY BODY,
I wanna buy a new Dell laptop, but it has a problem with PES 2012 game..
Although the device has two graphic cards, it's said that PES2012 doesn't work on it due to only 64MB dedicated memory, my friend tried to switch to the nVidia card while playing his game but doesn't work.
    My questions are:
how to switch between the 2 cards? and how to make the nVidia permanent or default one?
why it always shows 64MB with windows 7?

sorry for too long story and thanks for replying :)

I've never owned a notebook with nVidia's Optimus technology, but see here:

    http://us.download.nvidia.com/Window...tart-guide.pdf

You ought to be able to set the notebook to use the NVidia graphics all the time. It's done from the NVidia control panel.

I have a laptop with Nvidia Optimus and what Bobkin said is true. The newest Nvidia driver lets you select the card to be used all the time.

    Hi Saruman201,

I am Makarand from Dell Social Media and Communities.

With regards to the specifications you have mentioned, the Nvidia graphics card is switchable and can be set as default. Please follow the steps given below,
1)Please right click on a blank space on the desktop. You will get a new menu. Now please select "nvidia control panel".
2)In the "nvidia control panel" you need to select "Manage 3D Settings" Please go over to "Program Settings".
3)Now you will have to "Add" the simulation you would like to be started with the nvidia card. Therefore you will have to add the application file of your simulation - e.g. "aerofly5.exe". If there is file named "flyrun.exe", you may add this, too.
Instead of global settings you now need to change it to "NVIDIA high-performance processor".
4)To finish that configuration you just need to click on save. Now you are able to start the simulation using the nvidia processor.

Alternatively, you could also set the graphics card to default in BIOS screen. (Access BIOS by pressing F2 at start up). Please be advised that by doing this the battery will drain out very fast.

Kindly reply back for further clarifications,
