Graphics card died..... Should I bake it??

Hey there, my graphics card died last night with no prior trouble, and I was wondering what the best thing to do is.
I tried the graphics card in another PC to make sure that's what the problem is, so that definitely is it. It's an Nvidia GTX 260 (almost 4 years old, so it's not exactly worth £200), but I'd like to see if there's some way to fix it before I look at buying a replacement. I've heard that baking the graphics card can give it a few more months of life, so I was just wondering if anybody had any tips about it? I also have thermal paste, so should I use that aswell as baking it? Or will that be enough by itself?

    Thanks for reading.
