I setup dual monitors on my pc yesterday and (eventually) had everything pretty much as I want it, except upon reboot, my display settings revert to single display on my smaller monitor. I am unable to detect my second monitor (Sony Bravia 40" S4000) from within Windows. The only way I can get Windows to recognise my tv is to reboot Windows with my vga cable unplugged, then to use my tv as a main monitor to setup my vga monitor within Windows. Incidentally, Catalyst Control won't detect my monitors properly, I must use Windows' Screen Res tools to detect my displays and then switch to CCC to adjust my tv's screen properties. Is there a way to 'store' my display settings in this case? Needless to say, it's a lot of bother to reboot, disconnect cables, reconnect and then go through all my display setups everytime I wish to output to my tv. If it helps, the graphics card I'm using is a Radeon HD3400, connected to my tv via hdmi. As I say, I have no problem setting up my displays now, I'd just rather not have to do it everytime I switch to my tv. Any help would be much appreciated and may save me a huge amount of aggro.
Also, not sure if it relevant, but I have a 3rd display device showing (I have only 2 connected). Win Screen Res shows it as VGA display adapter, CCC shows it as Unknown Display. I'm assuming this is onboard graphics, but as it's been disabled from day 1, I'm sure it shouldn't display there. Doesn't seem to interfere with Duplicated screens 1 and 3...
Thanks in advance,
