Windows 7: GTX 460 card crashing/freezing in games

12 Aug 2012   #11

windows 8.1 Pro x64

running out of pool memory suggests an OS resource issue.

There is a tweak that stops the driver stopped responding issue as some people think thats down to a over agressive drivery recovery system so the tweak increases a threshold making it harder for that to occur. However if you getting game freezes and such as well I suspect that solution wont do anything for you.

Does this work? I didn't know there could be so many versions of the same card.

AnandTech - NVIDIA

edit: This is probably better, there's a specs tab

The reason I asked is because I doing some research about my 460 (in my specs). If by chance they were the same I might come across something to help you. I'm testing some different drivers so far so good but they are from MSI. for their O/C card.
