    HD5870 info....

    HD5870 benches.....

While we were playing with a new graphical power Radeon HD 5870, appeared on the internet and benchmarks directly from AMD. A protože nemáme podepsané NDA, nic nám nebrání se s nimi podělit. And since we have signed NDA, nothing prevents us from sharing with them.

    5870X2 is a TDP nightmare

We’ve learned that the current TDP for X2 is 376W and that the company is working on this issue, as apparently they will have to slow down the GPUs down by quite a lot to get rid of the heat.

Wow at that power rating you'll never finish paying for that card. liifetime payment plan through your electic company. Couls save on heating in the winter though.

Maybe ultra-careful binning will help them a little, but will also leave the market in high demand=high price.
If the vs gtx295 is real, this GPU beats everything but a GTX285 SLI solution. Looks like it will make 1080p mainstream. As of now, few games really need this much GPU, though (I'm not referring to extreme gamers that put 8xAA always on and play at 1080p plus).
We already know Crysis is demanding... but hmm.... this is beginning to look like bad coding to me, it just doesn't look that good to justify such low fps. And STALKER: Clear sky... omg I wanted to play this sometime but seems I can't approach it with my lowly system. What's wrong with these guys?

I'll wait until Nvida have their next cards out before I decide what my thoughts are

If you've posted these on the Vista forums, I don't even want to imagine how thepizzaboy is reacting

Nvidia confident that GT300 wins over 5870

    Several people confirm

Nvidia is still not revealing any details about its chip that we still call GT300 but one thing is getting quite certain. A few people who saw just leaked performance data on ATI's soon to launch Radeon HD 5870 have told Fudzilla that they are absolutely confident that GT300 will win over Radeon HD 5870.

Since GT300 has its GX2 brother they should not fear much against Radeon 5870 X2 whenever that comes out, as if Nvidia wins a single chip battle, they can win the dual one as well.

We can only confirm that GT300 is not a GT200 in 40nm with DirectX 11 support. It’s a brand new chip that was designed almost entirely from the ground up. Industry sources believe that this is the biggest change since G80 was launched and that you can expect such level of innovation and change.

The launch as far as we know is still slated for late November and hasn’t been confirmed.
