I did it exactly the way you described and it continues to say "file not found". I also tried to install the catalyst from guru but that will not load and just says it encountered an error. Take end task in task manager to stop it
Visiontek believes it has something to do with my motherboard
I am lost and ready to pull this thing out

Something very minor is going wrong. It's not your motherboard. That's their excuse to you.

I think possibly it's because I used the .inf from the guru package and you guys are placing it to the 9.9 version instead. So it's looking for a file that doesn't exist in 9.9.

Tell you what. Decide which Catalyst version you want to use. Then upload the unmodified .inf. I'll download and change for your card(s) and re-upload.

    This will work.

Hi Simono. Sure, I can try. Upload the .inf in your extracted folder to rapidshare. Post the link then I will download it, edit, reupload and provide a link. Also, please verify that your card's hardware id is the same as theirs, 9596. Then you could just download my .inf and overwrite what you have now and install using the device manager.

Alright. This is what you should do, Simono

Download the full 9.9 Catalyst driver from http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx, for Windows 7, 32 bit.

Run the file and it will extract to C:\ATI. After that extraction is done, the install program opens. Close this program now.

Open rapidshare.com and upload the .inf from C:\ATI\.... It's in there, in the packages folder, then inside drivers, then display. Then if there's more folders, inside W7. You want the .inf with CL in the name.

When you download it after I give a link, place it right over (copy and choose replace) the .inf you have now. Then install from the device manager using my previous instructions.
