    Latest Drivers

    Hi Guys

I have just finished installing my copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, So I thought I would start updating my Drivers.

I have the EVGA nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX Graphics Card.

I went onto nVidia's website, and downloaded the driver for the 8 Series, but when I try installing the drivers, I get an error pop-up saying that the driver is suited for Windows Vista and Windows 7 only !

It is strange because I am on Windows 7, yet it won't install

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You.

Quick tip in vista and win 7 sometimes drivers need to be installed in compatibility mode as admin. sometime from a safe boot.

You sure its the right driver? right OS 32, or 64?

download from Guru3D.com You should beable to find the 190.62 driver here 32bit or 64 bit. I now see they are offering a 190.64 driver as well and a 190.68 .http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_wi...0.62_whql.html This last link is to the 8800 win7 190.62 WHQL drivers the others are beta drivers. You should list in your specs which version your using of win seven, it would help us find what your looking for easier. thanks.

    I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit version.

I have just checked the name of the file I downloaded from vVidia's website, it is called:

    190.62_desktop_win7_winvista_32bit_international_whql

Which from what I understand is the file that I need ! .. Yet it won't allow it to install

LMAO Yes you are right Mickey

I am sorry guys .. I honestly thought I had the 32bit version .. where in fact I have the 64bit

This is the first time EVER that I have used a 64Bit version Windows or any software for that matter.

I'm currently at work .. when I get back home .. I'll go and download the 64bit Drivers and see if they install OK.

    Thank You.
