Either your VGA cable is shorting out or not properly connected. Try to remove and reconnect your VGA cable and see if it fixes the red tint. If not, try another VGA cable. Also if you are using DVI to VGA adapter, try to use another one. If that still does fix the red and pink tint, your GPU is going to retire soon. I used to have this problem with my computer before. I just replaced the VGA cable plus the DVI to VGA adapter and the red and pink tint were gone and never came back.

In addition to the above, check the colour temperature setting on the monitor. A warm setting increases the red content, whereas a cold one increases the blue. For best results, I suggest the normal setting or, if available, sRGB. In addition, if not using the native resolution of the monitor, adjust your graphics settings so that you are.

Same thing happened to me earlier this week when I finally got my 19 inch.
I thought it was the screen, accidentally touched my VGA cable and it fixed it.
I was really glad so, try that out! (:

How about using another monitor. Does the issue still happen?

Sounds like your monitor is dying, but still try to borrow a monitor and test it on your computer before you think of replacing your monitor.

If you haven't already I would go into the monitor settings and reset them all to defaults. If that doesn't fix it I'd return it or replace it.

I bought my monitor a year ago from Best Buy. I might buy me another monitor end of year out.
