Monitor do not get signals from my new PC.

    Hello.

I got a problem with my new setup.
When i boot up my PC, my monitor dos not get any signal.
Its a new build, with a new case, mobo, cpu gpu and a SSD. got the PSU and ram from my older one.

The mobo is a ASUS P8Z77-V
The GPU is a HIS radeon 7970 ghz edition
    The CPU is a i5-3570K
    The SSD is a crucial m4 128gb
The case is a CoolerMaster HAF MX miditower.

So i me and 2 friends sat down to build the new system.
Every thing is in palce, where it should be. think we checkt every cable and connector like 3 times, all was in place.
We started up and all fans and lights in the case started. But my monitor says "no signal"

    Any ideas?

Hi. Have few things to ask you.
Did you try reinsert the video card to make sure it's properly in contact with the slot?
What connector the monitor has? is it VGA or DVI (analog/digital)?
    ---
If the mobo has onboard vga port you can try it from there. means that if you did try the above measures and the onboard is giving signal, in can be the VGA card is defective?

Try checking the monitor out with other machine also can be an option to rule out card problem

    Hello.

    its a DVI connecter.
And yes i have tryed the onboard gpu on the mobo still no signal.
    But no luck there.

I have a friend coming over with some new RAM chips. Cuse the RAM i have is 1.65V.
And as far as i know my CPU dos not support 1.65, but only 1.5 so im gona test that out and see how it goes.

ok, i just tryed with other RAM chips, but no luck.

Starting to think that the mobo is at fault.

Silly questions; do you have the GPU in the right slot? What type of cable are you using to connect the monitor? Are you connecting the the monitor to the mobo or to the GPU?

The most important question: Have you downloaded and installed the latest driver for your GPU?

The GPU is connected in the "top" slot on the mobo. and ive tryd with 2 GPUS in my new mobo and the onboard mobo with a DVI cable and still got the same porblem. and i cant download/instal new drivers cuse i cant see the screen.
and im now trying with my old mobo to see if the mobo is at fault.

Have to ask basic question. Did you recheck all PSU connection to mobo? At worst, your PC will still come to POST screen regardless any driver issue.
Did you also notice a beeping sound? (memory problem)

    Additional Info.
Beep Code Descriptions (for AMI BIOS)
    1 short DRAM refresh failure
    2 short Parity circuit failure
3 short Base 64K RAM failure

6 short Keyboard controller Gate A20 error
7 short Virtual mode exception error
8 short Display memory Read/Write test failure

Yes, we did check every connection on the mobo from PSU to HDD, SSD GPU every thing a few times juts to make shure it was a error from us.

And no i did not hear any beeps. i think my PC did POST but again, my monitor didnt wanna get signals from the PC.

But i use my old mobo for now and sending in the new one, still got a new GPU in the PC, works wonders :)
