    SIS Mirage 3 (SIS671) driver unstability


    Hello everybody!

    For those of you who have a SIS Mirage 3 graphics card, specially the SIS671, which drivers are you using? In my case I tried with .5290, .5210 and the ones that windows downloads from the Windows Update service.

    For the drivers downloaded from SIS's website my computer is unstable when playing videos (screen freezes), and the sound is distortioned. When using the ones that windows downloads, the screen keeps moving as if it were unsynced in the vertical plane. I must say that the sound is alright when using the VGA mode (without SIS drivers).

    Does anyone have any idea on how to proceed to fix this? Thanks!

    Just to let future people know, in my case both problems were fixed by updating the BIOS and using the latest drivers for graphics, sound, cardreader, wifi and bluetooth.
