    Help with chipset


    hey i have windows 7 home premium 32-bit, i also have 4GB RAM but only (2.93 GB usable).
    i have intel chipset 4 graphics .... what i would like to know is why my computer is not using all my RAM an can i use 1GB of my RAM as Video ram for games?????

    kool thx also can i use any on my RAM for graphics as wanty to play games but my intel chipset 4 is not good enough

    Hi ziphedz, Have you thought about an add on GFX card and disabling the onboard GFX ? , There are many good cheap models available nowadays that won't break the bank

    i did think about it but to behonest with baby on way funds are a bit tight at the moment

    ok thank you for ya help

    i do have one more quiestion tho..... yesterday i installed open office on my desk top and after install there is a little section or the top of the display that appears at the bottom of my screen now an covers the start menu what could that be i have tried uninstallin the open office an have done a system restore an still nop fix

    yeah was the first thing i tried then i tried unplugin the monotor an left computer unpluged for about half hour
