Am I the only person here who is confused by Intel's use of "Generation" in differentiating among the many CPUs involved? I tried to find a chart on their website that lists details of which CPU is what Generation but could not.
Further what THE HECK is with their filenames using different numbers than the actual driver versions? My 4600M driver is 10.18.14.4280 from 8/28/2015 but I don't think it's the latest, although neither the Intel Driver Utility nor the various Dell updaters tell me otherwise.
Which is another issue to me--I can understand Dell wanting to give their customers a way to update their PCs using Dell download site(s) and utilities, but why do they insist on changing naming conventions and numbering schemes...I'd bet any amount of money they don't touch (alter) what they get from Intel in any way...
