1GB dedicated vRAM or 2GB dedicated vRAM

    Hello,

I'm in the process of buying a new laptop, I have the choise between 1GB dedicated vRAM and 2G vRAM model of AMD Radeon HD 7670M. It also has a intel HD 4000 (as part of i5 I think ??)

I googled a bit around and as I see it, vRAM is fast ram incorporated inside the grafix card, but howmuch difference in speed/gaming/3D preformance will 1GB make against 2GB knowing the computer has another 8 GB of RAM installed. (it can take "slow" RAM from there) Also will it take shared RAM ?

I don't care for ultra settings but I like to play heavy grafixs games such as GW2, LoL, Max Payne 3, ...

Its not that big of difference in price but I prefer to spend euro/dollars in the place where it mathers ! :)

Any help / pointers are appreciated !

    thx

The 1GB variant won't likely limit your gaming experiencing unless you''ll be pushing your games to their maximum graphical settings. Max Payne 3 for instance will use around 1625MB of video memory at maximum graphics so 2GB will help in such a case but keep in mind that this graphics card is a midrange one and will probably not run those demanding games at a decent framerate while maxed out. Else 1GB should be fine for you.
