    nvidia geforce 8800 gt 512

pretty much any game i play that is graphics intensive. ie crysis or battlefield. just examples humor me. i get the display driver has quit and then responded again all of a sudden. i have windows 7 enter rtm with all the latest updates from microsoft and nvidia. im running two monitors both at 1440x900. and i only get this problem when i play games and this as well has persisted through owning vista as well. i went from vista 32 home premium to 7 32 enterprise. anyone have some suggestions?

Time for upgrade lol. I got an 8600 GT and it works great but i sure as hell can't push those new games on high, let alone ultra. Try turning down settings and play with the options. Shadows and antialiasing will be your enemy til ya get into the 9 series of the GeForce family.

Also try going into the NVidia control panel via right click on desktop and default everything and make sure the application always decides the 3d settings.

Side note to an old thread. The 9800 gt series is just a repackaged version of the 8800gt. The prefomance is almost the same just the power usage is lower. Especialy in the new "Green revision" version that doesn't require a 6 pin power connector. Fabe
