    Computer freezes after installation of a new graphic card.

    Bought a new a new Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6570 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card and installed it into my pc. Also changed my PSU FROM 350W TO 450W. Installed the latest drivers.

    Now, the problem started with BSOD first. Right after 15 minutes of starting up my pc, BSOD appears. Later I uninstalled the drivers for the card and installed it again, now the computer totally freezes. This happens while playing games, or while hearing music or browsing net.

    Any solution to this?

    suggestion check in the device manager the graphics resources that there is " no conflicts"
    right click on "my computer/device manager" open properties on the graphics card and click resources

    Please post your results from following these steps if you can. BsoD Posting Instructions

    Also what was your old video card, and did you uninstall it first before upgrading?

    @johnebadbak: no conflicts.

    @tlarseth: BSOD stopped. Now the system just freezes randomly while gaming. maybe after an hour I start gaming or sometimes after 2 hours. Also, this is my first graphic card. So, no question of uninstalling, rite?

    But, did you uninstall the onboard drivers, and I would check in your BIOS to see if there is an option to turn off the onboard while you are using the add-on card.

    Also, what brand of PSU did you get, some 450W are notorious of only being able to push out about 325W on a steady basis. And if you have a decent CPU, 450W might not be enough anyways, I try to stick above 600W if possible, you can get a good 600-650 Watt for the same price you probably paid for your 450W.

    Also, did you use the AMD/ATI site for the driver update, to be sure uninstall it, and use these drivers to be sure if it persists, you can try the beta drivers, they might help.

    To further the device manager, there is a checkmark to show hidden devices, click it and you can try disabling the onboard video adapter from there as well.

    @tlarseth: I dont know whether the psu is a shitty one, but I just bought it anyway. and when I went to device manager, checked show hidden devices, nothing came up. There is only the Video card in the display adapter section.

    Okay, what brand of PSU did you get? The Sapphire series of GPU is pretty power hungry, we are not trying to be rude, but trying to help you out, that is why we ask the questions we are.

    Hey, even I meant nothing. I know this website for long, and respect and love everything about it.
    The psu I bought was of Zebronics ZEB-450W (DSATA), 20+4 PIN - Power Supplies - Economy Series - Zebronics - Always Ahead - Largest Range of Peripherals

    If it's 450w its quite lacking to be frankly honest even if it's certified 80 plus. Random freezes can be due to power issues too. But to be safe try it out with another psu maybe 650w

    If it's playing a game for an hour, sounds to me like it's getting hot, leave the side off the comp and check if the fan is spinning on the video card if not some cards have an extra power connector. Just some things to check
