Windows 7 won't detect second monitor.

I have a dell inspirion 530S with an intel g33/g31 express chipset, and a VGA splitter. When I have one monitor plugged in, without the splitter, the display is fine on that one monitor. However, when I have them both plugged into the splitter, it treats both monitors the same, with a crappy resolution, and won't detect that there are two. I have tried to update my graphics driver, but it says it's up to date. I am at my wits end, here. Please help.

I also have the same chipset as yours, but I think G33/G31 Chipset doesn't have dual-monitor feature.

I was afraid of that. Looks like I'll have to wait until I build my new computer in February.

You can get a graphics card, but it depends on your PSU (mine is 250W so I had to buy HD 5450)
