    I have 2 graphics cards in asus k42j,i want use nvidia geforce graphics card but laptop allways use intel graphics card,please help me.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

    This is normal for a computer with two graphic cards, it will use the use intel graphics until you need it, nvidia uses a software called Optimus that switches between graphic cards when the demand is needed.

    but when i install graphics card,first intel and second nvidia, i install game in my laptop but the laptop hang.
    excuse me because of my english languege is very low.

I was planning on buy a new graphics card. But my motherboard has a pci express x16 slot. Would it be able to hold a pci express 2.1 x16 card?

I just installed w7 ult 64bit,clean install with OEM OS. Will only recognize 1 of my graphic cards. Code 12 error. Like I said,clean install,no resources to shut down to make room for the 2nd card.Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
