I have no explanation for it either. I would agree it is equivalent to something in the HD 5000 series. In a flat out foot race, I would say it is close to a 5770, even though the WEI numbers are a full point lower.

I don't know about that I played Dead Island with a Diamond HD5770 and had the settings pretty close to maxed out and it ran smooth as butter HD4000 doubt would even come close to that

I would assume it would struggle especially with the Video cut scene's I don't even think it's in the league of a 5770 maybe a low end 5450 or closer to 5670 but no 5770

Like I said, it depends on the game and how it is coded more often than not.......some are more CPU dependent and some are more GPU dependent. That is the only explanation I have for why mine run so well. I probably should amend my statement to say that I believe they are close to my 5770 in the games I've played, because I can max out settings in those particular games with the HD4000. You are correct though, it's equivalent is probably a 5400-5600 card.

Intel HD4000
Hi all, I'm building a new system for the inlaws. I've gone with the i5-3570k for the HD4000 intergrated gpu. My question is, will that be sufficient for general computing, ie web browsing and utubing, (no gaming) on a 1080p screen? Not going to install a dedicated GPU if I dont have to. ...
