One of the reasons I've never been a fan of video adapters. Some cards hate them, and cables cost the same if not less.
I still think that eventhough you don't have 2 DVI outputs you will still need one of the monitors to be a digital monitor running off the DVI output(no adapters) and one standard VGA/ Analogue.
Correct me if i'm wrong but from what i have experienced or read that you cannot run 2 x VGA monitors.
Looking at the picture you provided i think the DVI output is a single link DVI output. So will only work with a DVI monitor. Or maybe if the monitor has a HDMI input then you may get away with using a DVI to HDMI cable/ Adapter.
Ello jason.
If it was me i'd try running the HDMI monitor from the DVI output. Either with a HDMI to DVI cable or a HDMI to DVI adapter as a last resort. It still may not work though. Then run you second VGA monitor from the VGA output.
