Either DVI or HDMI?

Hello everyone;

I am looking for some help. I have a desktop computer that I would like to connect to a Samsung T220 lcd through DVI and a Panasonic 42" plasma tv through HDMI. The computer has a Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H mobo with integrated ati graphics. Ok, the problem is that on their own, the monitors work fine. If I want the monitor to work, I have to take out the hdmi cable from the comp, and only leave the DVI. If I plug in the hdmi, only the TV will work and windows does not see the monitor. I would like to run dual monitors on this comp and I know it SHOULD be possible. Can anyone help me out here?

The thing is, I'd like to use the DVI and not the analog vga if possible. The pictre I attached is with the plasma tv hooked up through hdmi. This is what it showed. I tried to force the vga, hoping that would help but no deal. I haven't tried to connect the monitor through vga, but I leave that as a LAST resort.

Is there nothing else I can do other than the VGA option instead of DVI?

It may or may not be the problem, but how much memory is allocated to the onboard video in the bios? Before checking in the bios (unless you change it will be at the default of Auto) grab this,

GPU-Z Video card GPU Information Utility

hopefully it will detect your card and report how much ram it has. If it is 128 MB or less, go into the bios and bump it up to 256 MB, and see if it will then allow you to run both displays.

It should be able to run dual displays as part of the 780G (and I assume the rest of ATI's integrated HD series video solutions) spec is to allow for the running of up to 4 displays when an ATI video card is installed,

P.S. I have the same chipset on an Asus motherboard, and the surroundview works very well with my 32" LCD TV connected to it, and a 22" and 19" LCD monitor connected to my video card, with the surroundview enabled.
