I get the screen when I do a windows update and restart my laptop. I also did some reading on this and found that other people have the same problem with the same video adapter.
First off, I should ask, do you have the latest drivers installed for your card? You should be running Catalyst 9.9 I believe.
Also, are Windows 7 drivers available from your manufacturer yet for your device?
Hi kb1dph!
Welcome to SevenForums!
First, you should try installing the Windows 7 Drivers from here : is.gd - Forwarding Script (The dash on the end is for security...) After that you restart and do what triggers the BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death).
If that doesn't work, I need to know what it says on the BSOD? Does it flash and restart? If so then restart your computer and press F8 repeatedly. You should come to a list of options. Choose "Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure". Next time the BSOD occurs you should be able to read what it says. You just need to tell us the error code which should either be after where it says This Problem Seems To Be Caused by The Following File: Example.sys (Not very likely ) or after Technical Information: (More Likely ).
Do this and post your results please. Please +REP (Click on the scales above my post) if I helped!
Thanks,

That link is for Catalyst 9.7, 9.9 is now available for the HD 3100 according to the ATI website.
