No expert here but i would imagine you would need the internal disabled for your new one to operate
Have you tryed win key + P to swap display outputs when it goes blank, guessing it may need to be set as projector as using external monitor ???
Also if your having driver issues after uninstalling current drivers try Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling before installing new ones

Not sure if any of this will help just thought i would throw it out there
Good luck to you my friend

You will need to open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display\Screen Resolution and add a second clone monitor if you haven't too.

    ill try it...

    ok heres the run down...

so all drivers are installed (almost 90% positive they are) the 6670 comes up in device manager.

so when i plug my eGPU into the laptop, and regular graphics are still enabled, i get a BSOD

when i disable my internal graphics, then plug egpu in, it recognizes it but errors with code 12 (not enough memory allocation) however, my desktop is in windows basic and aero is not on i dont think.

after that ^^^ i can restart, and check the driver, and it says working normally and no errors. but there is no picture to the TV. windows is still in basic view, and when i try to run WIE it says i cant because there is no graphics hardware available. but when i go into my OC utility, it shows me the 6670 and all of its specs, but no clock speeds, and i cant change anything because it wont allow me. so thats where im stuck.

So it's seeing the gpu. But when I install the graphics drivers, it does nothing with it. It just sits there. I am ble to see it in device managers and OC utility. But that's all. Tomorrow I'm going try another GPU and using a computer PSU. The one I'm using is still slightly more power the. Should be.

I'm up against a wall here. I asked for help but only Pauly posted.
Is there support or a forum for that adapter?

Looking at your dump code 0xF7 would indicate a driver problem but under such unusual setup circumstances not sure it can be relied on, upload the dump file if you want and i will run it see what the output looks like, may or may not gives us a clue, or if you want follow this link and run the tool and upload the output file for us to look at and we may get a better idea of whats going on
