    Graphic Card crashing computer at random time, "unknown" cause.

    Hi everyone;

    Been having trouble with my AMD Radeon 6800 HD card, I think.

    Symptoms:

    - Cut to a black screen.
    - Alternatively, when enabled "Graphics OverDrive" in "Performance" in Catalyst Control Center, instead of cutting to a black screen, it cuts to a bunch of linear cubes, then black. No error is displayed.
    - Sound plays as normal for a few more seconds, but goes wonky after.
    - Unresponsive to anything. Cannot Ctrl-Alt-Delete or Alt-Ft. Requires a hard reboot by pressing power button.
    - It's considered disconnected to any online services (Vs. when a program crashes sometimes it's still "online" if you don't close the error prompt)

    It seems that I can play multiple games at the same time with no problems (For example, Starcraft 2, Tropico 4 and Sims 3 at the same time ), but when I run the MMO Mabinogi, this occurs after an entirely random time. It is not reproduceable. There is no common denominator. I could be killing monsters, or fishing, or just AFKing. It could happen as soon as I start the program, or it can happen 6 hours in.

    Doing a quick google search suggests that it is a problem with the card as I found similar issues with another game but no solutions. - Forum - Technical & Account Support - Computer Crashes after random time played. - Path of Exile

    Things I've tried but didn't work:

    - Reinstallation of the game
    - Registry cleaning
    - Changing settings on the "Overdrive" in Catalyst Control Center.
    - Resetting all settings to Default in the catalyst Control Center.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Check graphics card's temperature. Disable AMD overdrive and update your drivers.
