    MSI GTX660 HDMI outout.

When I use the hdmi output of my gtx660, after the screen goes to sleep and I try to revive it, it keeps telling me to check the signal cabel, I`ve set hdmi to default but it still won`t come up unless I change it manually, any ideas. The hdmi cable is hooked up to my main HP2311x monitor.

Can't seem to find a fix other than a reboot. Do you have a dvi cable you could use. HDMI does that with tv's a lot, normally not on monitors though.

I think I got it, just played with the nvidia control panel a bit, now to see if the monitor comes back to life after waking back up. A DVI cable works pefectly, bit I want that 2nd dvi port to go to my hdtv with my Monster DVI to HDMI cable. I then have 3 monitors running off the 660.

Nope, can`t make it work, the hdmi connection keeps getting broken and won`t comeback up after sleep, looks like this card is goin back.

As a last resort I will try using my Sony HDMI cable and see if it behaves properly.

That article talks about not waking from sleep mode properly, ( Although that`s not how he words it ) my pc comes out of sleep fine ( always did ) just when I hook the HP2311x to the GTX660 with a hdmi cable it won`t wake the monitor back up. The other monitors connected via DVI and DVI to HDMI come up fine.
