I take it that you're trying to use drivers from AMD.

It is not unusual for laptop makers to use custom device IDs for their graphics adapters. The generic AMD installer may not recognize one of those. If Toshiba has drivers, use those.

I have this dv9000 laptop which hp does not update video drivers.
if you download video drivers they don't work.
the inf files don't match laptop, the drivers inf needs modding to install on laptops.
laptops are a pain regarding this

so I went to laptopvideo2go and went on the forums and downloaded a modded driver.
for me the latest working NVidia driver is 186.22, so yes it is older. I could not get the newer modded inf drivers to work.

    LaptopVideo2Go hardware and driver community

you may be able to get one of those to work, for your ati card.

frankly, laptops they don't want you to upgrade or use more than a few years. they want you to buy new laptops every few years.

OP, why were trying to download a driver?

I would hunt on guru3d.com for a driver, that site has a huge inventory and has been trusted for years.
