So, since PCPer was running last night (PC Perspective - The #1 Choice for PC Hardware Reviews and Information) I decided to ask some help with this. This is the advice I got.

"Change the input "label" for the port the card is connected to to "PC" to get 1920x1080 dot-by-dot."

Did you try installing the latest directx? That card is directx 11 so I would make sure you have the latest it may or may not change anything but if it solves the issue it could be worth giving it a try.

Diamond 5870 Windows 7 Playback Device Issues

I just installed a Diamond 5870 into my Intel DX58SO running a core i7 extreme processor BX80601965 with 3Gig OCZ ram 1000 watt Antec PS. I have got the latest drivers for audio as well as video and Intels latest Windows 7 bios. However, every time my machine comes out of the sleep mode I lose all my playback devices except the ATI HDMI Output device which is not in use. I have tried Vista as well with the exact same issue. I must power down the computer and cold start it to get my playback devices back. Just rebooting doesn't get them back. Needless to say I'm not a happy camper. Spent good dollars to make a rock stable system flakey. I have a HTPC with an Intel DX38BT running Windows 7. I'll see if the problem follows the 5870 card. Has anyone else seen this issue and is there a fix?

    Thanks
