    nvidia driver problems

Hi, I am new to this forum and was wondering if anyone can assist with my problem. I am running an
Asus GTX680-DC2T-2GD5 on widows 7 Ultimate 64. In the last few days have had to format and start again re a corrupted windows file. When I tried to install the latest nvidia driver I get a failed to install message. I have tried several times but continue to get the same error message. I have had the card since it's release and never had the problem before. A mate believes it may be a .net framework problem, but i'm not sure. I have used the installation disc to get the system running for now. Anyone got any ideas?

Hiyya Kruper mate where are you getting the driver from and for what graphical set up.

Try this https://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/...rt_Download_30 only I wouldn't use the beta version

Yes. I even updated the driver for my Dell ultrasharp monitor to see if that was causing the problem

kruper I just noticed that Kaspersky is bundled with that Board?? I run Kaspersky on all my stuff and it can be a problem child at times just as a suggestion try disabling the Kaspersky and then install the driver.

See How to enable/disable self-defense in Kaspersky Internet Security 2013

By the by if you want to keep Kaspersky afterwards then I have a good config I can put you onto.

Thanks for all your help ICit2lol. I tried numerous different things but none of them worked, so at 4:00 this morning I resorted to formatting C drive and re installed windows. It did the job, the PC is running fine and all the drivers reinstalled correctly, but I still don't know what the problem was. I have always referred to my computer as female, this could explain everything.
