Looks like there is a lot of replies to this topic. I'll send the topic link to my friend and he will take a look at what everyone said. From the look of what people have said, he will be able to get a completely new computer and still have money left over.

    Thanks for the help :)
Yes he can and let me be the first to say thank you for responding we thought we lost you there

If your buddy checks out what we put together for him he can make you one too as a gift
That would be because I kind of forgot I made a topic about this. This happens to me a lot. I also went to bed 2 hours after posting this topic.

Well let me just say it isn't too funny because I could use something like that and take my HD6870 back my dad has no use for it and I would rather use it for a back up for me then to just sit in his rig not being used to it's full potential

Ok then Tommy, you have more use for it than me. In that case I withdraw my offer in defference to you. However, I seriously doubt either one of us will get it. Although, Doc, being such a great guy, could surprise me.

By all means Steve you can take it I was having a thought about it

I mean people who don't do much just need basic video but he does do tons of encoding more then me so in a twisted way that card would be a lot better

What I am really looking for ATM is a TV tuner PCI-e because im sick of battling for the TV

also going to look into a quality spliter and if I can obtain another DVR unit just for my PC

that way I can so some extreme Video projects

I've been looking for a tuner card too, but I don't know what to get that will work with DirectTV. I have a box sitting next to me, but direct is not too easy to deal with, I've been told.
