Yup. As airbot said, we both have. As posted above, iv even tried 9.11 Betas, no change. Might indeed be a MS bug

Pyton: Thank you for the feedback! Did you Install card on a preexhisting install, or reinstall of the OS?

    And the August update includes:
The August 2009 release includes the most recent version of the Games for Windows documentation (1.4.2009). Changes include:

    • New Windows Vista and Windows 7 Technical Requirement (TR 1.8) for High-DPI Aware support.
    • Refresh of the Games for Windows Showcase Appendix for showcase S.1, S.2, and S.3, as well as new showcases S.4, S.5, and S.6.

    Hey guys,

Just got my new MSI 5870 into the case today and was reading some of the threads on here about this card. Thought I'd check what mine shows and it's synonymous with your results.

On the system tab it shows Direct X 11 but on the next tab under DDI mine shows 10.1 as well.

What does this all mean anyway?

My install was normal (9.10 Win7 x64), I switched from nvidia to this, used all the proper driver cleaners, safe mode, etc and also updated directx as well.

    Hey Chris,

The final Windows Vista Platform update came out today,
Announcing Final Releases of Platform Update for Vista

here was the beta one that added DX11 and other updates to Win Vista.
Download Windows 7 Features for Vista SP2

Although the beta of this added DX11 to Vista, it didn't change the DDI version to 11. But just updated to the final with Vista, and now it shows DDI version 11. :) Maybe they have an update for Windows 7 soon. Still displays DX10 in the W.E.I assessment though.

You can see this thread over at Vistax64.com.
DX11 if you cant wait for MS - Vista Forums

So it does seem to be a Windows problem, and not the cards drivers.

    Thanks Aaron!
Hopefully soon we will see DDI:11 on windows 7! :)

A320: I "think" It means that the system itself, windows 7, doesnt see that the card installed is a DirectX 11 card, and only a 10 or 10.1.

I do not know if this has any performance degrations, though. But for me, if i have something in my system, i want the system to see that its there! :)

WEI not showing a DirectX 11 card could lower that score, too. (not that those numbers mean much to me, but in any case, they are there)
