Monitors don't display when graphics card is installed

I recently upgraded my Motherboard and my CPU and had some struggles along the way with some installation but everything seemed to work last night (After the installation was complete)

Graphics card was working fine, and I was running 3 monitors and using the graphics card just like I always have.

A few hours later I decided to OC the CPU with the "OC genie" button on the new motherboard.. That caused a lot of problems so i decided to reformat both my hard drive.

With the new installation of windows on my my SSD, and the computer up and running as we speak, for some reason no matter what I do, whenever the Graphics card is installed and the display is plugged into the graphics card instead of the onboard, the monitors just don't turn on.. Yet I can hear the Windows log in sound, as if it was loading through the boot..Please help will post specs

Check bios options, might have to tell it that your primary display adapter is the card and not the integrated one.
Most call this option "Primary Display Adapter", any card is usually called "GFX" and the integrated is "IGPU" or "IGA".

Windows 7 Home Premium x64

I had the same problem, I had a Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 1GB. I had 1 monitor plugged in, and a HDMI to a HDTV plugged in, then a couple of days later, I think I fried my Video card.

Your sound is unaffected or related to the video, so it will still go irregardless of monitor/video card situation, so at least you know the SSD is working, but you could have OC'd your video card out of existence, try another one.

OP hasn't said anything after a few posts and a week later, so maybe resolved and let it go, but above is still not any less true. :)
