Something is being done incorrect if your card really is a 3850. Yes, that's a very good idea about the video.

Assuming you placed the .inf over the existing one in extracted 9.9 Catalyst for x86 Win 7, and then telling Windows to install from that, it will work.

damn you must got like an EBAYED 3850 hd, becuase if all you get is errors, (shot in the dark) than windows 7 must have not installed right. i know it sounds nuts, but if your card worked before, than it should now.

Hey Akon. How about we start fresh with this. It's easy.

Download 9.10 Full Catalyst Suite from here, for Win7 32 bit.

    Drivers & Support | GAME.AMD.COM

Run it. After it extracts to C:\ATI, close the installer. You don't need it now any longer.

Download this next link. Copy and paste it into
    C:\ATI\Support\9-10_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF
Let it overwrite the exisiting one.

RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

After doing that, right click your card in device manager, choose update driver software. Browse. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Go to the above folder and choose the .inf I made for you.

If it complains the driver is not signed, let it install anyway. Reboot and then choose an Aero theme by rt clicking desktop, choose personalize.

    Run setup.exe in C:\ATI\Support\9-10_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver
    if you want CCC too.

When you're done, use winrar to compress C:\ATI folder to a single .rar file so you will have this for future installs.
