Performance Information Reports Different DirectX version

When I run the Performance and System Information under the section "Graphics" is lists DirectX vsersion at DirectX 10. When I run dxdiag, it should DirectX Version to be DirectX 11. The card literature says 11. Which is true?

It may depend on your GPU. That is, it might only be compatible up to DirectX 10. Do you know which video card or onboard GPU you have?

Edit: I just realized I didn't see "The card literature says 11". I was pretty sleepy when I posted, so I apologize.

It will always say DirectX 10 in that. Because the test is only testing for that version of DirectX. As well as dxdiag will always list DirectX 11 on Windows 7 regardless if your graphics card is capable or not.

OP, what 'Performance and System Information' are you referring to, I don't have anything using that exact wording.

That is good to know, any tool giving the ACCURATE info consistently, albeit I have an 11 card, myself, which is nice since Microsoft is apparently stopping at 11?

Faladu, click on view and print detailed performance and system information, it will be at the bottom of the graphics section.
