DVI to HDMI
Viewsonic VA2406
running 1280/1080 Ive been getting bad screen tearing and/or a bad refresh rate with the stock VGA cable my monitor came with. So i went and bought an DVI(from monitor) to HDMI(PC). but when i connect the monitor says nothing is connected. is there a way to tell if the HDMI port is on, on my computer. or do i need a DVI to DVI cable and adapter? Hello TH,
Check your monitor to see if it has an input button to press to select the source input to be DVI now instead of VGA. Usually the source input connection on the monitor is detected automatically, but not always. If that doesn't help, then try a DVI (monitor) to DVI (GTX 660) cable. In addition, do you have the latest NVIDIA video drivers installed? Latest NVIDIA ForceWare Video Drivers Windows 7Hope this helps for now, :) Shawn |
