atheman; 1st it would help us here at SevenForums to know your system specs. It's OK, you're new here but it would help us help you!

I suspect you need to update you nVidia driver for the GT630. I don't know what version of Windows 7 you are running, 32-bit or 64-bit, but it does make a difference. Download 32-bit here, & 64-bit here & see if that helps. Get back with us soon!

Sounds like you need the right video card driver installed is all.

Visit Device Manager, and what is it reporting as Video?

Visit gigabyte or nvidia.com for the latest driver.

Check if you have an onboard solution as well if so it may be a conflict if not

listen to them uninstall the driver use a driver from a earlier period and see if that changes anything
besides that what do you have to loose ???

What kind of cable are you using, VGA? If so, try a DVI or HDMI cable.

I'm not grasping what the "fat" capacitor on the MB has to do with your issue. If your MB had problems, you would achieve better results with a generic driver.

I believe this is purely a driver issue. I say this from my personal experience with nVidia graphic cards. The most updated nVidia driver is v320.49 but I use v296.10 because it is stable for my video editing software, whereas v320.49 has some weird conflict that crashes the software.

Windows will say "device is working properly" because the OS found a solution & installed it. But we need to know exactly what driver is installed. Please do the following. Go to your device manager for your display adapter & provide us with driver info. I've attached a jpeg of mine.
