    Hi Dave,

I'm downloading the updates now - says it will take about 6 minutes.

After download and re-boot, do you want another report?

What would cause the original report to be corrupt?

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hi,

The original report may have had issues uploading, try uploading again once updates complete.

Or you can just check the sysinfo yourself and see if the reported issue is cleared?

    Has the boot time improved?

    cheers

I only installed the update because it said the driver was newer on the first.

It was a little confusing because the first time after reboot, it asked again to download it.

I reran the msinfo32- please take a look.

After reboot, start up seems the same - about 45 secs.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hi,

Still unable to open the file! 45 seconds doesn't seem an overly long time to boot.

Did you try a clean boot? Or try the following:

Free up the startup/Disable Startup Programs:

    Click on the Start button
Type msconfig , click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    Select the “Startup” tab.
Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    Apply > OK
Click the "Services" tab, click the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box, then click Disable All.
Click OK, then restart the computer.

Now monitor the computer, boot time etc. and check Device Manager to see if everything is ok and no errors showing?

    Start>Computer>system properties>device manager

    Cheers

I don't know why you can't open file.
I opened it with 7 zip.

I know how to do a clean boot, but I don't want to do that to increase the boot time - rather live with the current time.

It shows the ms32 file was viewed yesterday - wasn't that you?

I tried, but it reported corrupt.

No matter...you can view the msinfo32 file, look under Problem Devices, is it showing anything?
Also Is everything ok in Device manager?
