3 monitors
I am trying to extend my desktop to 3 monitors. My graphics card has 4 slots (ATI FirePro V8800).
When I try to extend it will not apply or save.
Any suggestions

Windows 7 ultimate 64
I suggest you try Display Fusion. There is a free and paid version. You can get task bars on any or all monitors, multiple or stretched screensavers and wallpapers. I run three monitors with Win 7 pro x64 and I recommend this to all multiple monitor users.
Here: DisplayFusion
Are the 3 monitors appearing in Windows 7 Screen Resolution just fine or are any showing as grey?
...and what connectors are being used with each monitor, please?
I suggest attaching a screen shot of that window to help clarify the problem.
...and as Sarris said Display Fusion is awesome once the monitors all work...
Added screen shot of mine so you know for sure where I am coming from:
Note my #1 is grey on purpose, I rarely use it, but it's my HDTV.
#2 is a 23" Widescreen.
#3 is a 24" Portrait Monitor, that is why the shape is unusual, but the HDTV size is inaccurate.
All three are showing up in windows. It will let me expand display to all 3 then will not save. I can switch and have it on two any two so the computer is seeing all 3. I have 2 24 inch in as 1 and 2 added a 55" lcd tv for the 3rd. I need all to show up. I work in Autocad and want the plans on the 55 menus on 2 and email on 3. I downloaded display fusion and it will not configure all 3 monitors.
The connectors to the ATI card are all HDMI but only have one corner angled. All the same adapter. came with the computer when I ordered it from HP. HP Z800 workstation. 2 Xeon processors 24 gig ram....
The cable to 55 is HDMI
OK, so there is no Display Port or mini-DP adapter here at all, puzzled, one issue was passive DP cables, where you need active DP cable for it to working properly, I would call the tech support line of your video card, it's probably something with it that they will have knowledge of, and can even be as simple as a firmware update on the card, and usually only tech support will release that directly to someone with an issue.
Faladu,
You are absolutely correct. The ATI FirePro V8800 has 4 display ports. I have 3 different monitors. After talking to tech support at AMD all I needed was an Active Adapter. The graphics card can output 2 separate different signals but not 3. The Active Adapter fixed the problem. If I decide to add display 4 I will have to get another active adapter.
A card that has 4 outputs, but only 2 will work ? What`s up with that. Must be and AMD thing LOL
But then, i`m not sure what you mean by " different signals "
