Lol, I got nearly $5000 in my savings account right now, but it is to make a final payment on my partners car Tomorrow, then we own it. I could buy a nice rig for that and tell her to walk to work, but I fear for my life

Man I would so love a Titan, or even a 780 Both are just far too expensive in the UK for me!
I was actually going to get a Titan but the 780 came out a couple of weeks before I ordered my new rig so I went with that instead. I'm glad I did now.

I don't even know why the hell is the GTX Titan more expensive than the GTX 690 if GTX Titan < GTX 690.

I may just have to open the wallet again then

On a serious note though, if there is a marked improvement in the 800 Series I'll probably upgrade and sell the 780 to offset the cost, but if the 780 is still performing the way it is now in a year's time then there'll be no need to bother.

It's simply because it is the fastest single GPU card (not to mention runs cooler, has less power consumption, and GPU Boost 2.0). And I think I've read somewhere that when you overclock the Titan, it surpasses the 690's performance.

And Paul, have you seen the crazy price drop for the HD 7990?
