AMD Radeon HD 8000 series are purely rebranded HD 7000 Series.

The first 3rd party card i've seen so far XFX Radeon R9 280X Double Dissipation Graphics Card Spotted
It looks sexy as f*** to me
Seriously, are they having a laugh, I just saw the R9 290X available for pre-order but you have to pay £100 and you have no idea what the remaining balance will be when they are released. And lets not forget the fact we have no performance figures yet. Jeez am I the only one that thinks this is mental!!
Edit: I should add, this is not the Etailers fault, AMD have still not released pricing but have let the cards go on pre-order. A silly position to put the Etailers in if you ask me. This particular Etailer has said if you are not happy with the price when it is given you can get a full refund on your deposit which is fair enough.
AMD have gone insane.

Thats madness isn't it, Talk about keeping folk in the dark
All i've heard so far is that people will be surprised by the results and that they're good... NDA's are a pita!
I think it's kind of like saying, 'Let's see just how stupid people really are.'I've seen some 'leaked' info from Chinese sites that say it is on average around 30% faster than the Titan. But, I don't trust the Chinese sites and AMD are notorious for this (without the pre order stuff). The leaked sources were AMD in reality. Remember just before the Bulldozer was released. All the leaked (AMD) benchmarks showed it well better than the i7. Those benchmarks were cherry picked by AMD that favor more cores and heavily multi threaded apps. In real world apps and useage, we all know how all the hype turned out. No offence, Ryan, but you have been heard saying how the AMD CPUs fare against the i7's. I'm not paying anything until I see some reliable real world performance from reliable sources. Even then, different than you guys, no matter how good they are, it's going to have to be pretty spectacular for me to pay $600 for a graphics card.
