I guess AMD didn't skip the 8000 series they have OEM versions right now

Uhmmm I am very confused I could of sworn they were going to skip this AMD Radeon

According to the stats It appears to be a renamed 7970 ????

I dunno mate, I think you are right on the rebranded bit, I think maybe they were just available to system manufacturers not the public.

At any rate I just put my 7970 up for sale ready for the imminent release of the 9970 or should I say the R9 290X :)

I want to put both of mine up for sale but not sure how to go about it

I don't trust people in the way of web selling you know Ebay

I have an account and have purchased before but 2x7970's is a hard pill to swallow I am thinking sell one and keep one and get that same GPU time will tell though remember I still have my FX8350 Build I can easily put that together and see if anyone wants to buy it

I am up in the air right now still I could probably beat out a few cards with Xfire but it won't be by a great margin

Well I did start up a sales proposal on Ebay but i'm not sure if I want to go through selling it yet

I'm going to wait and se what the new cards do before I sell

I had everything up down to putting a picture up but changed my mind they still have some arse kicking left in them

I could have sworn I'd read that the 8xxx series were going to be mobile GPUs. I must have dreamed it.

I read last night that the R9-290X and the 9970 are 2 different cards. The R9's are a little pricey too, but they are claimed to be the fastest card in the world. We'll most likely know in 2 more days. I'm not sure how accurate that info is though.

There is no real need to upgrade these are benches of 7970 vs 780

Seriously if I overclock this card more Ghz ed it will still catch a 780 which is good news GTX 780 isn't that tough
