Cant use 70Hz despite AMD CCC Reports Maxium is 70.

i bought a referb 22" LED Westinghouse HDTV, i'm connecting Over HDMI, and teh Catalyist Controll Center reports "Maxium reported : 70hz" for refresh rate yet i cant select it anywhere in CCC or display proerties despite "Hide refresh rates this monitor doesnt support"

the Display driver, is installed as a Genereic PnP Monitor

any ideas? or idealy would this only come up while connected thru it's VGA Input?

sometimes the CCC can read wrong. search up the monitor and find the specs of it to make sure it is 75hz

Unless that TV/Grahpics Card has HDMI 1.3, the max it is capable of on HDMI (below 1.3) is 1080p at 60Hz

Never heard of any tv with a 70 Hz refresh rate, it will be 60, or 120, some claim to do 240 but I`ve never owned one.

Read your tv specifications, it will tell you the refresh rate.

Most times a tv will only show up as a pnp monitor, totally normal. It`s more important to make sure your video drivers are up to date. Check device manager for any issues there.

70 is a weird number, it's probably a mistake, 60Hz has been a standard for a long time.

Prices on 120Hz have fallen, I got a 39" 120Hz this year for about $400, I was happily shocked.
I haven't noticed any difference in the 6 months I have had it though.
