    Black Screen on Monitor?

I hope someone can help me with a problem ai have with a Monitor. Until recently i had a PC with one Geforce 460 Gtx, on which I was running 2 Monitors. Both on DVI. One Benq 2450 as main Monitor and a HP 2229 as secondary. Was running fine. Now because of some other Hardware broke, i decided to get all new Hardware for the PC. The only remaining things were my Harddrives.

Now i have a Geforce 770 gtx from Zotac. After putting it all together and using the same Monitor situation, I noticed my main monitor to go black sometimes. Never the other. Because that Monitor, the Benq, had HDMI and my new graphics card as well, i tried attaching that one via HDMI. It worked for a bit, but it started again. The Monitor went black sometimes and just stayed that way. It only has a picture for a few seconds, if for example you restart the computer. For a few seconds it shows you the loadscreen of the Bios at the beginning when the monitor gets the first signal after starting the Computer. Same after loading and when the Windows logon Screen shows, but only for a few seconds, then it goes back to black. The other Monitor, the HP, works fine. On that I can only test DVI, not HDMI.

Is that problem now a Monitor problem or that of the graphics card? But if it would be a problem with the graphics card, why would it only happen with the Benq Monitor and not with the HP? Or is there a general problem with 2 graphics adapters on the Gtx 770 Series?

I am using the latest Nvidia driver that was released, however since I just updated to that driver today (had the previous 331.xx driver installed before) could it be a driver issue? If anyone knows what it could be or what would be the likely issue, I appreciate any help with this.

Need to make sure whats broken and if I have to return the graphics card or get a new monitor or what else.
    Thanks in advance

So the monitor is not affected until Windows loads? ie It doesn't blank out during POSTing ?

If so, it would be a driver issue rather than physical hardware.

I'd check out the nvidia forums to see if anyone else is having the similar issue. There may be an issue with the HDMI input and the 770 series.

Is it possible to connect both monitors via DVI?
