HDMI out to a VGA screen?

    Hello,

I recently acquired a 19" VGA monitor that is now using the auxiliary VGA port on my computer. I found another 19" VGA monitor online, but the only remaining display adapter I have on my computer is the auxiliary HDMI port. Can I just pick up a VGA-HDMI cable and run it that way, or do I need a special converter box? I don't want to spend $100+ for an HDMI monitor. But, in case anybody knows of a place to find a cheap HDMI monitor between 17-21", my budget is sitting at $65 for a monitor.

You need a converter box to convert HDMI to VGA.

A $65 budget for a HDMI monitor is pretty slim. But, I've seen them go for less at local auctions. You just have to look. You're in the "USED" price range so be sure you can test it before buying.
