    Intergrated Graphics Device Not Found

    Hi All,

So I recently built a computer for a friend using an Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard and an Intel i5-3350 CPU. The plan was to use the integrated graphics rather than a dedicated card so I plugged the monitor into the motherboard via a VGA cable. I booted it up for the first time and the computer ran great except the monitor was not detecting any video. I shut down the system and used an HDMI cable instead of the VGA and still no video. I even tested the monitor on another computer and it worked without any issues.

Anyways, I installed an old graphics card I had lying around and plugged the monitor into it and then it worked fine. I was able to install Windows and update / install all the drivers I needed. After that I reset the system and went into the BIOS in order to enable the iGPU but there was no option to do so. The only options I had were Auto, PCIE and PCI (picture attached). I set it to Auto and turned off the system. I then uninstalled the graphics card and plugged the monitor back into the motherboard and re-booted the system. The computer started just fine but again the monitor was not picking up a signal.

I shoved the graphics card back in and updated the BIOS but still no change. I also tried installing Asus's LucidLogix Virtu MVP (which I guess is a program that lets you adjust on-board / external graphics settings) but it keeps giving me an error message saying "Integrated Graphics Device Not Found". I have run out of ideas and have spent the last few hours on the internet looking for answers. I have found a few people with my problem but no clear answer of how to resolve it.

Has anyone ever had this issue before and if so, how did they fix it? I apologize for the long post, but I just wanted to include as much information as possible. If anyone could help shed some light on the situation, it would much appreciated. Please let me know if any more information is needed.

Thanks in advance for the help,
    JackALope

Collin, I hate to break it to you...the i5-3350P has no integrated graphics.

Will save you some trouble, but you'll have to install a GPU if you are going to use it. Sorry. A Guy

Awh man don't tell me that, now I just feel dumb. There goes my self diagnosed dyslexia kicking at the worst possible time. I think I was looking at the 3550. Anyways, it's not the end of the world, I'll make it work. Thanks for the reply Bill, you saved me a lot of confusion and head scratching.
