Maty as well as following maxies' excellent advice , It appears you have to run the driver update under Administrator rules :-

    Details and specifications

You must be logged on as an administrator to install this update.
You must have a Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.

Run as Administrator give this a try:)

Hey Kathryn .. Have been looking on the HP Forums .. And found the Link below seems this is a common problem .. It was resolved by an open restore recovery .. That is not going to work in this case though ..

Hi there .. You have tried all the Drivers from the HP website and AMD with no avail .. And you have recently done a factory Restore ... So the only thing i can suggest is a Clean Install .. This would be possible if you have the COA product key you wont even need a Windows Disc as this can be downloaded ..

Ok, I'll give that a try. How do I find the COA product key? I don't have a CD for the windows, it just came with the computer. And there isn't anything important saved on this computer, only software (which can easily be re installed). So I don't mind loosing everything or nothing.

Hi there .. Read the Link below and follow the steps to get the perfect Clean Install ...

Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

The Product COA Key should be some where on your Computer maybe at the side or back

The Link also contains a Link for the Windows OS Download

Hello, I apologize for the delay. I looked around a lot and found this CD that says Windows 7 64 bit on it (written by someone). Now I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I ran it real quickly and this is the pop up box that I got. Does this disc changes any of the steps that you mentioned in the clean install link? Thanks!
