NVIDIA NVS 3100M- Which drivers apply to my Dell E6510?

Hi all. I recently acquired a Dell E6510 and this is actually my first Dell Latitude and Dell laptop- ever. I am running W8 64-bit and am wondering if Windows Update would find a compatible driver for an upgrade to 8.1 64-bit?

I am looking at the NVIDIA website and there are several variations of W7, W8, and W8.1 64-bit drivers e.g. Quadro ODE Graphics Driver, Quadro Performance Driver, Quadro Partner Certified Driver, AutoCAD Performance Driver, 3ds Max Performance Driver, Mosaic Utility, or Mercury Transmit Plug-in are all choices in a drop-down menu.

What is the difference between these drivers? Has anyone run W8.1 64-bit on an E6510? Thanks!

id go with tge quadro ODE graphics driver.
however tbh does it need upgrading? youre not going to see a performance boost of any great calibre if you're intention is to try and play games.
the laptop is designed as a business one, so I can only assume the difference in drivers is specific to individual applications such as Autocad ect.

    Hi emerald08,

Officially there would be no support for 8.1 for this model from us. However, you can download all the drivers available and put them in one folder.

Once you have upgraded then you can manually update the driver by giving the path to the folder where all drivers are located:

    Driver Install - Device Manager

It should pick up a compatible driver automatically if there is one in the folder. Hope it helps. If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us.
