Help! Factory Reset Computer, Screen Went Black

I used Windows 8 recovery manager to wipe my computer. I had several viruses so it seemed like the best way.

my screen went Black when the process started and now it won't come back on.

My video card is a different one besides what came with the computer.

I sold the old video card to a friend, so the only graphics I have is the new I bought a while back. It should be an ATI RADEON. 5700 I believe.

I'm guessing the driver got deleted, and with no internet to search for drivers and no vision of the screen I seem screwed.

Are there any ways out of this one?

windows has built in vga drivers that will work with any card regardless. plus pre windows loading no drivers are used as its all controlled by the bios.
when you turn the computer on do you get any visuals such as the usual bios splash screen?

also whats your definition of "boot" booting is the completion of checks ect which then leads onto windows loading.
if this doesnt happen its not sucessfully booting.

are you getting any additional beeps well booting? one is normally the most common to suggest all is ok.

if you can see the bios screen and then it goes black its a windows issue. press f8 to boot into safe mode, this uses default drivers ect and will allow you to uninstal/download/find the issue.
if that doesnt work try running start up repair if you have a windows disc.

Is the video card seated all the way down in the slot ?

Is there any power connector on the video card ?

What do you mean no slot, how do you have the video card connected to the motherboard then ?

Did you replace the video card you got rid of with the same type ? PCI-Express, AGP etc.

What type is the video card you are trying to use now ?

Please tell me the exact make and model of the computer.

So then get a new video card, not a new video cable.

Please answer the above questions.
